She was previously the Minister of State for Tolerance, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Minister of Economy and Planning of the United Arab Emirates. Sheikha Lubna holds the distinction of being the first woman to hold a ministerial post in the United Arab Emirates. Forbes has listed her as one of the most powerful lady in the middle-east for a number of years, and in 2017 Sheikha Lubna was listed as the 36th most powerful woman in the world.
Today Sheikha Lubna is a board member of important organizations in the UAE, especially with Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation and is presently the President of Sheikh Zayed University.
